Madam Mim Dragon Plush

Another year, another reason to celebrate all things Disney! Not only is Disneyland park celebrating its 68th anniversary (today), but the Walt Disney Company has been celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year (officially turning 100 on October 16, 2023)! With all the celebrating, including some popular Disney flicks being re-released in cinemas, and a plethora of great 100th Anniversary themed merch from the Disney Store (Sarah totes snagged a Madam Mim ‘pink dragon’ plush… among other things… #shamelessdisneyadult), it has got us thinking about how much of a lasting impression the Disney legacy has had on our lives, from bringing us joy, to inspiring us to pursuing creative interests, and even to studying film. The magic and wonder that Disney animation and filmmaking has sparked over the years continues to be a source of inspiration and entertainment that is sure to delight generations to come. But Disney is not the only thing that we are celebrating today, as our humble little blog, The Film Rewind, is turning 4 today! While life has gotten us more distracted of late (we know… we are well overdue for a post, or two, or three..), we also can’t help but celebrate our achievements and growth over the last four years. Check out our updated stats celebrating how our blog has grown, and some short lists of our top Disney movies to celebrate the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary. Enjoy!
