The Hocus Pocus Drinking Game
đ” âI put a spell on you, and now youâre mineâŠâ đ”
We, the team at The Film Rewind, cannot hear this song (any time of year) without thinking about Bette Midler and her delightful performance as Winifred Sanderson in Hocus Pocus (1993). We would also be completely bereft if we got through the entire month of October without paying tribute to one of our all-time favorite Halloween-themed films. Although Hocus Pocus did serve as our October Film Club Pick last year (you can read our reviews here), and Sarah did give the film a nod in our âHalloween Movie Treatsâ post last week, but that just doesnât quite cut it for us this yearâŠ
As always, please imbibe responsibly; we highly recommend some apple cider, a nice cauldron - er⊠- cup of tea, or whatever seasonal beverage you deem appropriate. Feel free to share this list with your family and friends, and perhaps even arrange a socially-distanced viewing âpartyâ by Facetiming, Skyping, or video chatting however you please, to have fun and feel just a little bit more connected to those beloved people in your life who you havenât seen in a while. Without further ado, let us present to you our newly minted rules for a Hocus Pocus âdrinkingâ game. Enjoy!
