Happy Bunny Day! Okay, maybe I’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons for too long, but the current Easter themed in-game event has got me thinking about all the great bunnies that have graced the silver screen over the years. There are probably more than you would initially think... From cute and cuddly to evil and sinister, rabbits have played an important role in entertaining us for generations. What better day to celebrate Bunny Day than with a list of my favorite cinematic rabbits? Enjoy!

Thumper – Bambi (1942, dir. David Hand)

Harvey – Harvey (1950, dir. Henry Koster)

The White Rabbit & the March Hare – Alice in Wonderland (1951, dir. Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske)

The Rabbit of Caerbannog (aka The Killer Bunny) – Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975, dir. Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones)

Rabbit – The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977, dir. John Lounsbery and Wolfgang Reitherman)

Roger Rabbit – Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988, dir. Robert Zemeckis and Richard Williams)

Bugs Bunny & Lola Bunny – Space Jam (1996, dir. Joe Pytka)

Frank the Rabbit – Donnie Darko (2001, dir. Richard Kelly)

Peter Rabbit – Miss Potter (2006, dir. Chris Noonan)

Be sure to grab some popcorn (or leftover Easter candy), kick up your feet, and revisit some of these amazingly entertaining rabbits! Which are your favorite cinematic bunnies? What do you think of my favorites? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
