12 Throwback Shows to Stream with Your Children
So, anything new going on with you?
Yeah, it’s been a crazy few months, and with the past week it’s safe to say that pretty much everyone’s lives have been affected in some way by COVID-19. Events have been cancelled, workplace environments have transformed, and, in many cases, school has moved into the home, with parents taking on the massive responsibility of keeping their children’s education on track in these tumultuous times. And then there are the preschoolers…
I know that there is no shortage of children’s entertainment nowadays, but I figure that if parents are now trapped in the same building all day with their little ones, a few too many Baby Shark videos will be enough to drive even the most tolerant parents swiftly towards insanity. Thanks to streaming video, there is now a pleasant middle ground opened to parents of younger ones, as several streaming platforms have released seasons of some of our favorite childhood shows. If you must edu-tain your young children, you might as well have a trip down memory lane at the same time. Here are twelve shows, appropriate for preschool/grade-school-aged children, which are currently streaming, and should prove to be a fun time for your children and the kid in you. Don’t have subscriptions to these services, or don’t see some of your favorite shows here? Let’s just say, if you search for shows like Wishbone, Zoom, Bill Nye the Science Guy, or Between the Lions on YouTube, something might just be available… But, you didn’t hear it from me.
